Story of a Black dot

Today we will discuss a very productive activity, such kind of activities should be performed in every institute by every teacher. We are going to discuss a story of “dot” today. It’s very interesting as well as very unique. college-classroom

“One day a professor asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. He handed out the question paper, with the text facing down as usual. Once he handed them all out, he asked his students to turn the page and begin. To everyone surprise, there were no questions, just a black dot in the center of the page. The professor then said” I want you to write what you see there.” The students confused, got started on the inexplicable task. At the end of the class, the professor read each one of them aloud in-front all of the students. All of them with no exceptions, describe the black dot, trying to explain it’s position in the middle of the sheet, etc. After all had been read, the classroom silent, the professor began to explain. I’m not going to grade on you this, I just wanted to give you something to think about. No one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focused on the black dot and the same happens in our lives, we always focus on the dark spots. Our life is a gift given to us by God, with love and care and we always have reasons to celebrate. However we insist on focusing only on the dark spots- The health issues that bother us. The lack of money, the complicated relationship with a family member, the disappointment with friends etc. He continued ” The dark spots of are very small compared to everything we have in our lives, but they are the ones that pollute our minds.Take your eyes away from the black spots in your life. Enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you. Be happy and live a life with positive attitude.”

I got this message from a video I had seen few days ago. This message is very suitable for the people of current era. You cannot live a single moment with complete joy in your entire life if you’re not grateful for everything you have. It’s very short story but, it can change your life if you are going to adopt this simple advice.

  1. any publicity is good publicity. to stand out in an ocean f otherwise the same. I wonder if the message while spiritual dynamite advice might shortchange a different explaination worth the world of distinction…also prized in this life…as an explaination…. but- there is this dot and it is as an ocean of the same supporting a difference. minimalism asks what one dot, one speck can represent. a solar flare millions of miles burst into space where solar wind may take time for it’s reaction to be felt but in minutes it’s clear what a difference is detected and change is coming. spy novels or comics perhaps a tv scene or three says a dot may appear a dot but may infact hide a newspaper of information within such a seeming smudge. negatives are to be avoided, so spiritually this advice stands as a high good but a dismissal of more that can be- to be only afraid of negativity in a dirty spect a wrinkle a rumple aww such is so typical actually that any difference is to be repressed maliciously and with true fear. I obviously sour of a lot of slick summations as an ocean of white religion neatly demolishing question for the sake of order or worse a world where all is the boring same so that i miss the majesty of power…a small dot is millions of miles of solar spray or just a trick of the vision one days. obviously i cheer a fine thought but also worry over it as well.

  2. A great post and even I had seen this video sent by someone on what’s app and I had liked it so much good you shared this story here. So true that we are only focussed on the dot and forget the rest of the real things in life and that God is always in our midst taking care of us and being our guide. Good.

  3. As always, you provide quotations, activities, THINGS that provide great perspective. Personally, I’m often quite guilty of focusing only on the negative (although, I AM getting better about it).

Positivity is like will power, discipline, any “soft” skill; it’s just as much as muscle as your heart or your biceps or anything like that. Exercise it, and it gets stronger. Ditto negativity, the victim mentality, and giving up on your goals.
